Volunteer
Come Soar With Us! Be a volunteer at Carolina Raptor Center!

There are currently more than 200 volunteers that contribute almost 15,000 hours a year helping to further the mission of Carolina Raptor Center as well as make it a better place for both birds of prey and the visiting public.

What Can a Volunteer Do?
Volunteers at Carolina Raptor Center do so many things. You can work in our raptor “ER” helping injured raptors become healthy enough to be released back into the wild. You can be a part of the transport or raptor ambulance team and respond to calls by the public regarding injured raptors that need to be picked up and taken to CRC. You can educate the public about birds of prey and how they play a role in conservation as a docent volunteer or an exhibit volunteer. Help us take care of our many resident birds by cleaning cages, feeding them and performing health checks. We also need people to greet visitors in the gift shop as well as ring up purchases. Are you handy and enjoy working outside? We can always use help repairing aviaries and performing other general maintenance around the property.

Without the support and time of all of our volunteers Carolina Raptor Center would not the great place it is today! Would you like to join our ever growing group of fantastic volunteers?

Apply to join the Volunteer Program.
Though there is no fee to join the volunteer program we do encourage new volunteers to become members of CRC. Becoming a member offsets costs associated with the volunteer program. Please note: volunteer jobs working with the birds have a limited number of positions and will depend on availability.
