FAQs
How do I arrange to see my bird?
As of July 15, 2011, we are now offering a new selection of resident raptors you can adopt! These raptors are unmanned resident birds who will usually be onsite and in their mews, so you can check up on them every time you come to CRC. There is now no need to call or schedule a visit, just come on in! Your adopted bird will be here waiting for you. Please call Ciara Moreno at 704-875-6521 x 131 to schedule your visit.
If you purchased an Adopt-A-Bird before, July 15, 2011, you may call a week in advance to set up a personal visit with your bird. Many of these birds are involved in our education program, so are not always on site or available to be seen. PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE SO WE WILL BE READY FOR YOU WHEN YOU GET HERE.
How long is my adoption good for?
Adopt-a-Birds are good for one year from the date of purchase.
What if something happens to my bird?
If your bird gets retired, transferred, or otherwise is no longer adoptable, you will be provided another bird of the same species. You will receive notification by mail if this happens.
