Carolina Raptor Center names Jim Warren Executive Director
HUNTERSVILLE: The board of trustees of Carolina Raptor Center has tapped Jim Warren as their new executive director. Warren has served as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer for the past 5 years.
“Jim has been an invaluable leader within the organization for over 5 years,” said Board Chair Forrest Frazier. “We are pleased that he has accepted our offer and look forward to his continued leadership.”
A Mt. Holly native and graduate of Appalachian State University, Warren has served in leadership positions with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte and at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center. His expertise in operations, development and management position him perfectly to lead Carolina Raptor Center.
Carolina Raptor Center is dedicated to environmental stewardship and the conservation of birds of prey through research, education and the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned raptors. CRC’s rehabilitation hospital admits over 700 birds a year, over 65% are released back into the wild. The Raptor Trail entertains over 40,000 visitors a year, and our educators engage with over 35,000 science students for formal and informal education programs.
