By far the best way to experience the raptors of Carolina Raptor Center is by coming to see them in their natural habitat. Our location inside Latta Nature Preserve is a perfect setting to get kids out of the classroom and up close and personal with nature. Our on-site education program offers your class an opportunity to see birds of prey up close, while one of our skilled educators teaches your students about these incredible birds. On-site Education Program Details $10.00 per person; includes all adult attendees and children 4 and older Programs can be scheduled on the following days and times: March 1 - October 31: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30 a.m. OR 1:30, 1:45, or 2:00 pm November 1 - February 28: Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30 a.m. OR 1:30, 1:45, or 2:00 pm For every 10 children, you are required to have one adult chaperone. A maximum of 60 attendees total can fit in our onsite programs at a time. A deposit of 50% of the program fee is required within two weeks of booking to confirm your program or event. The balance is due before your program date. If you fail to show for your program without notifying us, you will be charged the full program fee.
