Summer Camp Education Internship

Get Kids Off the Couch and Into the Woods this Summer


The Carolina Raptor Center is looking for some passionate Summer Camp interns to lead our campers throughout the summer in all the different camps that we offer. Our Raptors Rock Summer Day Camp teaches our campers about the importance of our environment and all the different raptors and birds of prey that inhabit it.


  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Comfortable being in all weather conditions
  •  Working 5 days a week
  • At least 18 years old
  • Able to work well with others

Reponsibilities of this position:

  • Leading daily activities including crafts, hikes, games
  •  Assisting campers with weekly projects
  • Assisting education staff
  • Supervising lunches, breaks, etc.
  • Leading Counselors in training

This position requires you to work 8 weeks of camp and be able to come in for a training week. Candidates should be flexible, friendly, and comfortable working with children and spending their days outdoors. A successful candidate will have commitment and excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle dynamic situations. CPR/first aid certification will be offered during training week. Two full time positions available with stipend included.
