Do you have a WILD child?  The kid who is always outside exploring?  Well, this camp is for them!  

Join us for an action-packed outdoor adventure camp.  This week will feature visits and activities from five local groups to make each day a unique and exciting experience. SESSION 8: Wild Carolina Camp, August 2-6 (rising 5th and 6th graders)

Additional Details

  • Raptor Rookies Camp sessions are $250 a week per session
  • Sessions are limited to 20 students per session
  • Camp starts promptly at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm
  • Regular drop off starts at 8:30 am; your child should be at camp no later than 9:00 am
  • Regular pick up starts at 4:00 pm; your child should be picked up no later than 4:30 pm. 
  • Extended day for all camps is $35 a week per session
    • Extended day drop-off starts at 8:00 am and pick-up extends until 5:00 pm

Camp dues include a t-shirt (that campers will tie-dye) and a reusable water bottle.  Campers will bring their own lunch and afternoon snack, and should arrive having eaten breakfast.

Cancellation Policy
Registrants are entitled to a 100% refund only in the event that Carolina Raptor Center cancels camp due to unforeseen circumstances. Please check your schedule before you purchase camp, no refunds will be given after June 1st.


Carolina Raptor Center will introduce your camper to some of their raptor ambassadors and provide hands-on avian activities that help teach the importance of environmental education and conservation.

Catawba Riverkeepers will leave you with an understanding of where your water comes from, where it goes, and what happens in-between!
Learn about our natural spaces and all the fun activities you can do outside on land and water on trails! 

From your backyard to the woods, Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail will show you how it's all connected in your every day life and how to have the best time playing in it!

Anne Springs Close Greenway will help you explore the outdoors and get connected to nature though fun, hands-on recreational and educational activities with the Greenway!

And finally, TreesCharlotte will teach you about our beautiful canopy, why trees make our lives great, and how you can help protect our trees.  You will certainly gain a new appreciation for North Carolina’s gentle giants—Trees!
