Climate change is destroying our path to sustainability. Ours is a world of looming challenges and increasingly limited resources. Sustainable development offers the best chance to adjust our course.                                                                                                                             – United Nations Secretary Ban Ki-moon

Theme: Migration Vacation

Resident Culture Brewing
It’s the time of year when the kids are back to school and vacation is over. Booooo! But the birds are traveling South for the winter…it’s their migration vacation! Come and play the migration game and have a brew to support Carolina Raptor Center. See if you can survive the harrowing journey. If you make it to the end, you’ll win a prize compliments of the birds. If not, you’ll die a death worthy of a raptor and can try again.

When October nights start to cool, it’s a good time to listen for owls in your back yard. We’ll tell you how to attract them to your yard and how to listen for them. We may even have a hooting contest…”whoooooooo?”
