Come take a self guided tour and see over 23 different species of raptors on our 3/4 mile long nature trail nestled inside of Latta Plantation Nature Preserve on the banks of Mountain Island Lake. We're just 15 minutes away from Uptown Charlotte. Check the schedule for our weekly programs.

Summer Hours

The Carolina Raptor Center is open for visitors Monday thru Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.

Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day

CRC is scheduled to be open Memorial Day ~ 10 am to 5 pm

Note: Carolina Raptor Center is an outdoor facility with unpaved trails. Visitors are encouraged to prepare for inclement weather and wear appropriate footwear for uneven terrain. For the protection of our resident raptors, no pets are allowed on Carolina Raptor Center premises or nature trails.
